As today marks the birth of Jesus Christ, a member representing Irepo/Olorunshogo constituency in the Oyo state House of Assembly, Hon. Kazeem Olayanju popularly known as Orelope has felicitated with Christian faithfuls in the state.
Olayanju who spoke through one of his aides, urged them to use the occasion to pray for unity and peace of the pace setter state and the country at large, adding that only with this, the dream of a better country we all have been praying for, could be actualized.
The Chairman, House Committee on Information and Media, also called on the people to apply the teachings of the Christ to impact positively on other people’s lives.
He however expressed gratitude to his constituents for the support so far, assuring them of more meaningful programmes that will impact their lives in the coming years.
In the same vein, the chairman, House Committee on Works and Transport, Hon. Olamide Akinajo in his Christmas message, urged christians to rededicate themselves to the service of humanity.
In a statement signed by his Media aide, Akindele Oloore, Akinajo emphasised the need for them to show kindness to the people around them, and extend the hands of generousity to all and sundry.
The lawmaker, who represents Ibadan North East constituency 1 in the OYHA, noted that the aforementioned will go a long way in ensuring peaceful society, where tolerance and respect for one another, among other virtues, will reign.
